Unfair World
I just finished watching 'Mark Zuckerberg Harvard 2017 Commencement speech' on youtube. In contrast to what I found was the most enlightening 33 minutes of today (for me) , the comments implied that not a majority of viewers agree with me. I have been in arguments before, but this level of disparity caught me off-guard. Is the source of this negativity coming from the theories about Mark stealing his friend's idea? Let's assume he really did, it still doesn't diminish the respect I have for him.
My reason: If he did steal the idea, he still worked his a**off on it and he was successful in 'connecting the world'. Lets face it, facebook isn't just a space where you connect with your friends or make new friends. It is much more than that. It is a platform for budding entrepreneurs to market their product/services FOR FREE, where by the way the whole world can see! The idea blows my mind. Not just for marketing, but it aids you know about various charity groups and gives you an opportunity to take part.
You can buy, sell, spread kindness, use help and sometimes run into the love of your life ;) The power of Facebook is unparalleled. And who is the creator of all this? Doesn't he deserve the millions he is earning? Why is the whole world behind his riches? Why is everyone concerned about the money but being blind to what he offered the world? A part of me says its the jealousy talking. I hope I am wrong but a 32 year old Harvard dropout ruling the world is not a thing we come across everyday!
I can't help but feel pity for those people so full of hatred. "If you really have the balls to attack him why hide behind the screen"(Courtesy: 'Black mirror'). Can't we just be happy with someone's success and get over with?
We keep saying that we live in a world not so fair. How many of us realize the word 'world' is nothing but us?!
